November 2018, volume 42, No 11

This bilingual book is about a boy named Gulu and his younger sister Mimi. She always teases him even though he does not tease her. I like this book a lot, for all siblings fight. I have an elder brother and he hits me every time I tease him even a bit. He hits me hard and I tease him more, and then we go to our parents and get scolded. After some time we become friends.

Gulu and Mimi look up and see different shapes like laddoos, balloons, hippo, dinosaurs and many more in the clouds. Gulu shows laddoos in the clouds to Mimi and Mimi teases him and says that the (cloud) mice are eating up the laddoos. Gulu points at a football and Mimi says, See that hippo, he sat on your football and the most exciting part of the story was when Gulu said he sees an ice cream cloud and Mimi said the hippo is licking your ice cream. I felt it was very funny. I didn’t like the end of the story so much when the boy said that the dog came. A real dog was behind Mimi and she got scared.

I liked the title of the story, Look Up. If Mimi and Gulu had been real, Gulu would have been my friend because his sister teased him but he kept quiet and at last he teased her.
