Khujli Aise Hui Chhomantar by Mohammad Arshad Khan won the first prize in the category Read Aloud Picture Books in the competition for Writers of Children’s Books in Hindi organized by CBT. The young reader in the city may never have paid attention to the various denizens of Nature—the buffalo who normally enjoys wallowing in a lake or grazing grass or rubbing her hide on a tree, the pigs looking for food under the trees, the ducks and cranes around a water body, and finally the Parotia. This cute and fun story brings them alive.
